It is with pride and enthusiasm that I have undertaken my mandate as the new President of the African lotteries Association.
I am very honoured by the trust of my peers, Managing Director, General Directors of the Lottery Companies and African PMU for a two years term.
I also would like to take this opportunity to thank the outgoing members of the former Committee for their work during their mandate. I intend to continue what has been already undertaken by developing strategies to promote the values of our Association and its outreach to the International.
It is in this sense that the new office A.L.A, I have the honour of chairing, integrated a clear vision of its mission and objectives which include:
- The enlargement of the Association into a continental organization,
- The revitalization of A.L.A by the implementation of annual action plans,
- Repositioning of the Association at international level in accordance with the norms and standards of the WLA.
I am pleased to the establishment of this strategy which has as a mission to create ties of cooperation, solidarity and assistance among members of the Association, to promote attractive and responsible games and to fight against the illegal gaming.
The ambition of the in African Lotteries Association is based on values shared by all its members and its policy is to ensure that its activities are conducted in accordance with the standards of the profession.
The members of the Association are committed to ensure the regularity, transparency, and the proper conduct of games while remaining in a measured, balanced and responsible model of gaming. They also undertake to develop and maintain a transparent security environment in order to have and maintain public confidence in their operations.
In governance, our goal is to improve the operating mode of ALA through drawing upon the best international practices and bring credibility to the action of the Association.
It is in this sense that we have set up a code of ethics and governance charter that conform to international standards and we created four technical committees on various topics (Responsible Gaming, Security, SME and sport bets).
This website is a space of privileged communication for members of the Association and their partners and will render the activities of the A.L.A more visible
