THE LONASE GIVES A DONATION WORTHING 4 MILLIONS

It is a gift consisting of food and other items for women that LONASE offered at the House of Detention and correction HDC of Rufisque. The awarding ceremony took place last Thursday in Rufisque.

  

As a prelude to the celebration of International Women's Day, the Senegalese National Lottery thought of women who are in detention. As part of these charities, the gaming company provided a grant worth a total of 4 million francs CFA to the residents of the detention and correction house in Rufisque. A gesture highly appreciated by the prison authorities of the old town of Rufisque. The donation consists of products including two tons of rice, 200 kg of sugar, 50 kg of milk, 80 cans of powdered milk for detainees babies, 2 oil cans of 20 liters each, flour for baby and needless to count the 70 mattresses, baby diapers and toiletries products. According to Fatou Mbaye Thioune, director of DCH, it is a mark of "sensitivity from the part of the Director General of the LONASE towards the lower classes of society particularly those in imprisonment." And it’s an opportunity to thank him on behalf of the Minister of Justice, Minister of Justice and the Director of the prison administration.

 

The representative of the Director General of LONASE Amadou Samba Kane, said for her part: "We hope with this gesture, relieve a little bit the pain of the residents of this house in response to a request strongly expressed."
