The annual Olympiads of the LONASE

The General Manager of the National Lottery of Senegal, Mr. Amadou Samba Kane, seized the opportunity of this Pentecost weekend, to offer Louga’s Detention and correction House (DCH) a large batch of materials composed of 200 mattresses and 50 fans for $ 5 million CFA francs.
 

Mr. Kane came in Louga this weekend to chair the Olympiads which were organized this year by the institution he heads. On this occasion, he wished to say that the act which the LONASE has consented in favour of Louga’s detainees is part of their social policy towards people with disabilities.

 

He on the other hand, emphasized the need to promote a reintegration policy at the detention and correction houses of Senegal. He added that the annual organization of the Olympiads in one of the regions of Senegal meets the need to create a spirit of unity between LONASE officers and encourage mutual assistance and solidarity.
 

The Olympics were held at the Alboury N'diaye regional stadium in Louga from Saturday to Sunday, with on the menu several sports including football, scrabble amongst other mind games, involving nearly 150 athletes participating. For his part, the Director of Louga’s DCH, Mr. Mamadou N'Diaye praised and expressed appreciation for this gift, before dwelling on the necessary policy of prisoners’ social reintegration.
